The nostalgic CM4NEWS Publisher is back - he would rather be writing
stories than having intense fights every day with Trudie Lentz over the
USPEC for 3.03 EXTRACT. (You're gonna see some blood next time around for
sure, Lady!!)  The Publisher contends that it is "pretty damned obvious"
1) N-well recognition and 2) Double-metal extraction, are sufficient as
a user specification for 3.03 EXTRACT.  Readers?

On behalf of Ed Attfield and Go S. Sunatori, the CM4NEWS Publisher would
like to apologize for the fiasco of missing CM4LIB disk September 20.
As usual, some screwup occurred when some EXECs were shuffled around.
The SDS HOTLINE (ext.5520) was flooded with no fewer than 4 phone calls
in the morning asking what the heck was going on, while Krishna Kushwaha
and Nishth Goel's employment was extended one more day.  The following
is the CM4 Library disk for each CAD release:

- LDISK 3.01 & CM4LIB:  LIBSTAT  104  (still 3.01 as of September 20)
- LDISK 3.02 & CM4LIB:  LIBSTAT  104  (some programs won't work.....)
- LDISK 3.03 & CM4LIB:  ICDESIGN 59A  (still empty as of September 20)

Please note that "CP LINK LIBSTAT/ICDESIGN" and "ACC nnn F/A" would never
fail to work in case of emergency like the one September 20.

Go S. Sunatori, who is bitching about lack of time for real work due to
his boss Steve Sunter's absence, is trying hard to convert LIBSTAT 104
into the 3.02 format with all cells conforming to the final half-grid
philosophy. (with long-awaited schematic levels prepared by Chuck O'Dale)

By the way, the CM4NEWS Publisher was pleased to find the following
letter to the Editor in The Ottawa Citizen (September 23, page A9):
