0011 85/11/12 00:32:24 * 32-BIT 3.03 CONVERSION COMPLETED! * ---- -------- -------- ------------------------------------------------- Triggered by Wayne McFall's go-ahead signal, CM4 ICDATA and CM4 CELLIO on both LIBSTAT 104 and ICDESIGN 59A were converted to the 32-bit 3.03 format as of November 11. CM4 CELLIO now has the 3.02-incompatible CENTRE orientation for the automatic MWIN generation by Rick Epplett's OMNI program. (Type "FP 8075", filed by Len McCready, for details.) With this final major change before the official 3.03 release, CM4LIB disk is no longer accessed with the default LDISK 3.02, and one has to type "LDISK 3.03" and "CM4LIB" to read CM4NEWS as of November 11 because the CM4NEWS Publisher promptly asked Ed Attfield to remove CM4LIB EXEC from LDISK 3.02. (CM4LIB EXEC was originally placed by Dave Gibson with Jeff Bennett's order without Steve Sunter's consent last June, remember?) As usual, the SDS HOTLINE (ext.5520) was flooded with complaints from the poor people who were unable to open CM4 ICDATA file in 3.02 LAYED. The CM4NEWS Publisher, who had felt a moral obligation to publish a warning of the major change ahead of time, was actually working on this very notice November 10 until about 2h30 in the morning when he ran out of energy after writing the Special Report on Canadian Conference on VLSI, and passed out after three and a half glasses of wine. With a very strong pressure from Steve Sunter, Go S. Sunatori has come up with his "best intelligent guess" for reasonable setup & hold times and minimum clock & reset widths in RDFF and RDFFS flip-flops November 11. The dummy values will eventually be replaced after the detailed SCAMPER simulation is done, of course. The CMOS4 Cell Library has accepted SUBS2 and WELL2 cells, to be used exclusively in pad macros. Here is the latest cell count with the re-defined CMOS4 FAMILY as of November 2: +----------------------------------+ | - 67 PRIMARY (51 SUDS cells) | | - 2 AID | | - 5 MACROELT | | - 3 MACROBLK | | - 0 MACROPAD | | - 0 MACROFNC | +----------------------------------+
