I chose the Ottawa Citizen out of a total of 3 English and French newspapers in Canada's Capital Region because of its relative quality. As an Outaouais resident, I highly appreciate your Outaouais edition with Keith Spicer himself promoting the Ottawa Citizen on a French TV station which is based in Hull, as the choice for the Francophones.
However, here are a few examples that your Outaouais readers could be treated even better.
While only a river away, the Outaouais residents do not get the final evening edition for home delivery. The Outaouais edition except for the Local section is essentially an early morning edition.
The TV listing fails to address the needs for Outaouais residents who are served by Télécâble Laurentian with different channels. A constant cross-referencing to Saturday's TV guide and Télécâble Laurentian's channel guide is necessary. The recent new format for the daily listing did not alleviate the pain.
The Citizen Business Blueprint contest is open for Ontario residents only (rule no. 5).
I wonder if you would truly respect the minority residents who do not have quality local newspaper service, regardless of English or French, other than the Ottawa Citizen.
