We were struck by a catastrophe of basement flood due to defective drain tile. After a very costly repair, the outside of the house was a big mess due to digging by a bulldozer.
We did a Cost-Benefit Analysis, and decided to plant White Dutch Clover as perennial cover crops instead of grass. It has many advantages and few disadvantages. One only needs a paradigm shift to regard clover as cover crop!
