I have been doing some research on Force Field, Magnetic Levitation, etc. Here are some comments on the explanation of Force Field in the "You Asked For It!" segment on the @discovery.ca programme on the Discovery Channel (Canada) 1999-05-18.

Tremendous static charge generation on a plastic web causes unique physical phenomena.

David Swenson of 3M describes an anomaly where workers encountered a strange "invisible wall" in the area under a fast-moving sheet of electrically charged polypropylene film in a factory. The "invisible wall" was strong enough to prevent humans from passing through. A person near this "wall" was unable to turn, and so had to walk backwards to retreat from it.

Diamagnetic material including a live frog has been shown to levitate under a very strong magnetic field. This phenomenon could be used as a Force Field.

A little frog (alive!) and a water ball levitate inside a 032mm vertical bore of a Bitter solenoid in a magnetic field of about 16 Tesla at the Nijmegen High Field Magnet Laboratory.
