To whom it may concern
When I logged into Canada Post On-line Business Centre (OBC), I was surprised to see that my mailing address was still showing "Hull, QC" in their database.
The name of the city was changed from "Hull" to "Gatineau" more than 3 years ago (2002-01-01) due to municipal amalgamation. Canada Post sent me an ultimatum more than a year ago stating that any mail with an obsolete name of the city may not be properly delivered.
The explanation given over the telephone for the obsolete name of the city was: "Nobody has informed us." Although there is still a high level of misdirection and lost mail, I have been quite satisfied with the delivery time by Canada Post lately. Thus, it is quite an irony that the internal communication within Canada Post is lagging so much.
