I cannot afford such a luxurious gizmo as the iPhone. I am pleased to see that you have not committed a sin of using "an e-mail" in lieu of "an e-mail message". I have increasingly noticed indifference to countable nouns and uncountable nouns. I had learned the following as correct grammar.
a glass of beer
a piece of mail
a sheet of paper
...
Now, nobody seems to care about such rampant abuse as "beers" and "e-mails".
Thank God, I had not seen the abuse of "waters" yet. Alas, that was until I found "Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. (Proverbs 5:15)" in the King James Bible". :-)
BTW, do you happen to know why the Ottawa Citizen has abandoned the use of "Mr." and "Ms." in the articles?
