2010-04-14|Missing legend in Ottawa Citizen's TV times
To the Editor
On the second-last page of Ottawa Citizen's TV times, there is a section called "Channel Guide" which describes the following.
(CC) = Closed Captioned
(N) = New Programming
The meanings of (Live) and (Stereo) are obvious. However, I have no idea what the following acronyms stand for.
(DVS) = ?
(PA) = ?
(SC) = ?
Also, the "TV Listings" section of Ottawa Citizen's website has no legend whatsoever to explain what is represented by each acronym.
BTW, it is sad that there is no TV programming with Multichannel Television Sound (MTS), which would have been ideal for bilingual broadcasts like hockey games and movies...
