2011-04-18|Western Union's Money Transfer Tracking
To whom it may concern
On 2011-04-11, I made a transaction to send $999.99 CAD to my fiancé in Irkutsk, Russia, via Scotiabank's Western Union Money Transfer webpage. Everything went well during the transaction, but the recipient has not picked up the money yet.
When I went to Western Union's website today to check the transfer status, the website said the following.
We do not have an order with the provided information. Please verify your information and click Check Status of another transfer.
I panicked and immediately telephoned Western Union at <tel:+1-800-267-0486>. The agent explained to me that everything is fine for the recipient to pick up the money at any time. She will do so soon in Irkutsk, Russia.
Please investigate why the Money Transfer Tracking status is wrong on Western Union's website, and report back to me.
