I went to see "Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)" with my beloved spouse and my daughter on 2013-06-11 at Cinéma Starcité Gatineau (Cineplex) in Gatineau, QC.
For more than 15 minutes after the beginning of the movie, the interior lights were left ON. So, the supposedly-enjoyable 3-D experience was ruined for all 3 of us. I believe that one member of the audience was fed up and talked to the administration which finally turned off the interior lights.
I had been under the impression that the control of interior lights were synchronised with the beginning/ending of the feature movie in a modern automated system. It seems that my assumption was wrong...
If the lighting control is still done manually, could you please make sure that the operator properly turns the lights OFF when the feature movie starts in any Cineplex Movie Theatre?
