I watch programme "Daily Planet" on Discovery Channel's website every day. I noticed that there is an error in the programme on 2014-01-21 in which Part 4 and Part 5 are identical. Please make a correction, and notify me when it is done.
Also, please update the Discovery Channel Video website as soon as the videos are uploaded. Now, even though the video files are ready, icon "Daily Planet" on website "watch.discoverychannel.ca" is updated in the afternoon of the next day to display the icon of previous day's show. On the weekend, I have to wait until Monday afternoon to watch Friday's show.
I would like to take this opportunity to give you feedback on the video viewer.
First and most important of all, please stop proceeding to the next programme after viewing of one programme is finished. When I watch a "Daily Planet" programme, I do not want the viewer to continue to a different programme when "Daily Planet" is finished. I recently experienced the viewer's playing as many as 7 additional programmes when I fell asleep during the "Daily Planet" show. It was playing hours and hours of video when nobody was watching. Please note that I do not have unlimited bandwidth with my Internet Service Provider (ISP) but must pay extra charges when a monthly download quota is exceeded.
Second, please make commercials to be time-based instead of event-based. Whenever I click an icon of a programme to see if the programme is worth watching, a commercial is shown. While searching for a programme to watch, this event-based commercial showing results in having to watch commercials every minute or less. I do not mind watching a commercial every 10 minutes or so, for example. I believe that videos on CBC's website work that way.
Third, please make it possible to pause during the commercial. At present, the pause button is greyed out during the commercial, so I cannot stop it when I must go to the washroom.
