While cycling in the Gatineau Park in Canada's Capital Region on a sunny day wearing a pair of sunglasses, I noticed that my eyes see vivid red, followed by vivid blue and vivid green. The colours alternate according to blinking when I am directly facing the sun. I suspect that the red colour results from red blood cells in the blood vessels in the eyelid.
In the subtractive colour model or the additive colour model, however, the complementary/opposite pairs are red & cyan. In the RYB colour model with red-yellow-blue primary colours, the complementary/opposite pairs are red & green, but RYB predates modern scientific colour theory. What is going on?
The Eagle Eyes sunglasses are advertised as having been developed from original NASA Optic Technology.
