I read an on-line newspaper in bed on my iPhone which is magnetically attached to a lamp. Since I am laying down, I face the popcorn ceiling. I noticed that while I am not focused on the ceiling's texture, the ceiling gains rainbow colours and becomes fluidic enough to dynamically change shape like a wave. The colour and texture quickly return to normal when I stare at the popcorn ceiling. It may be similar to lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD)'s psychedelic effect "fantastic pictures, extraordinary shapes with intense kaleidoscopic play of colours" without the use of any drugs.
