2017-02-22|The Personal Insurance Company's Ajusto program

Although I do not remember being notified of the Ajusto program by The Personal Insurance Company, I somehow managed to find webpage "Drive carefully and save with the Ajusto program offered by The Personal!" which promises: "you could also save up to 25 % off your auto insurance premium at renewal."
I successfully downloaded and installed the Ajusto app on my iPhone. When I called +1-888-476-8737 for clarification after completing the 5 trips to obtain the score of 92, I was informed that "The savings will be applied to your premium at renewal, as long as the principal driver downloaded and activated the app at least 160 days ago, and as long as he or she has travelled at least 1 000 km." This fact is nowhere on the webpage including the Text transcript of the video Discover the new Ajusto app.
Moreover, the agent told me that the Ajusto app shows only trips during the last 30 days, not 160 days that are required in order for the discount to apply. The agent also told me that I would have to call them to find the eligibility because I could have driven 159 days and travelled 999 km to be unqualified by the deadline for next renewal. While I was making a request that such information be made prominently visible to me on the app itself and/or on Personal's webpage for my account in order for me to track my progress towards the discount, she hung up on me!
The Personal Insurance Company periodically sends out E-mail messages entitled "About your Ajusto savings" with proper disclaimer "To be eligible for a discount, the principal driver of the vehicle must have used Ajusto for at least 160 days and 1 000 km." However, the number of days and kms driven are still not shown on the messages, so these savings may not materialise.

When my iPhone received the following notification from the Ajusto app on 2017-10-17, I panicked because I had already started good driving behaviour, believing that the next cycle had begun in September 2017. I called The Personal immediately, and was informed that they changed the system merely 2 to 3 weeks before so that once the discount rate is determined, it is fixed for life, i.e., it is no longer necessary to drive at least 160 days/year and 1 000 km/year. This is absolutely great news!

Because of the breakdown of my car, I had to cancel the Auto insurance policy. I was informed that when I acquire a new car, I will have to re-do the Ajusto exercise. Please consider honouring my Ajusto discount (23 % off) since the driving record is not for the car but for the driver, and I continue to hold the Home insurance policy with The Personal Insurance Company!
