Here are my comments on the consultation process of Canada Lands Company's Rue Booth Street re-development project. First of all, I find that all of the 3 options are well thought out. I note the emphasis on the design of preserving the chimney (smokestack), which is cylindrical in shape.
I propose that the 4 or 5 cylindrical towers to be also cylindrical in shape. A cylindrical building is more earthquake-resistant and hurricane-resistant than non-cylindrical buildings. Successful examples of cylindrical skyscrapers include the following.
