2017-08-13|Canada's Big Year Happens Here: Magnificence of Chaudière Falls
To whom it may concern
When I saw "Magnificence of Chaudière Falls" in "Canada's Big Year Happens Here" on Ottawa 2017 website, I decided to visit these places in Ottawa and Gatineau by bicycle.
I approached the construction area, but there was no public access. In fact, there were signs everywhere "PRIVATE PROPERTY" and "NO TRESPASSING". I nevertheless entered the area for observation anyway, but was promptly stopped by a security guard. He told me that the construction is behind schedule, and suggested that I observe the falls from the bridge. Well, the bridge has one lane in each direction with no sidewalk on the side of the Chaudière Falls. This is the best photo that I could achieve from the sidewalk on the other side of the bridge.
Here are some other civil engineering issues that I found today in Ottawa and Gatineau.

"Mìwàte - Illumination of Chaudière Falls" is finally open as of 2017-10-06. When I visited on 2017-10-08 by bicycle during the day, I was once again refused entry to the observation deck as it is open only from 19:00 to 22:00. Help!
