Since I may be approaching the eligibility, I visited webpage "IEEE Life Membership". Section "IEEE Life membership qualifications" says the following.
IEEE Life Membership is automatically bestowed upon an active IEEE member who:
Has attained the age of 65 years
Has been a member of IEEE for such a period that the sum of his/her age and his/her years of membership equals or exceeds 100 years
Please clarify that there is an "OR" between the 2 requirements.
Also, please consider showing the date of joining the IEEE as "Member since YYYY" somewhere in My Account > Personal Profile.
