This is to let you know that on the iPhone (iOS 12.4), simply tapping the Stingray icon on the home screen to launch the app caused the following error message to appear. I do not remember how long ago I had used the app, but I am certain that such an error message was not showing up before. I may have selected other channels, but mmy favourite channel is "Baroque" which is still available. So, I do not know what Stingray app thinks as my selected channel. It would help if the error message explicitly said "Channel XXX is no longer available."
Thank you very much for your attention.
To whom it may concern
Last August, I reported to you that the Stingray app on the iPhone (iOS 12.4) was showing error message "The selected channel is not available". However, you were not able to reproduce the phenomenon. At that time, I was not sure which channel I had been using before. Well, this time I am 100 % sure that I was listening to "Bluefest 2019", as the attached screenshot testifies. I updated my iPhone (iOS 13.2.3). Now that this channel no longer exists, the Stingray app reports a scary error.
So, the mystery is resolved, and you should be able to reproduce the problem by quitting the Stingray app at a certain channel, then opening the Stingray app after the channel has disappeared. It may be a naturally expected behaviour, but the message is still confusing for the listeners. I suggest that the error message be clarified to say something like "The channel [the channel name here] that you had previously selected is no longer available now. Please make a new selection. (OK)".
