One of the greatest features of the ENGINEERING.com website is "Listen to this story". However, there is no such link after clicking "Try the new look". Does it mean that the "Listen to this story" is being phased out? The Engineering.com app on the iPhone (iOS) does not have this feature, either. I have experimented with iOS's native TTS on the website with "Select All" followed by "Speak", but the results are very poor.
If the "Listen to this story" survives with Text-to-Speech (TTS), then please add a "Speed" button so that I can play back a story at different speeds (e.g., 1.00x, 1.25x, 1.50x, 1.75x, 2.00x), just as one can do in Apple TV+, Netflix, YouTube, etc. Also, please add "Rewind (-10, REW)" and "Fast Forward (+10, FF)" buttons to the Player for skipping backward/forward 10 seconds or so.
Please note that The Globe and Mail has recently introduced Text-to-Speech (TTS) with such a speed-control button.
To whom it may concern
For your information, I have encountered some difficulty in "Login", which resolved by itself. I am not able to reproduce this problem, so I can provide only screenshots.
