2019-09-05|Sunatori's Hysteresis (1-Way Transition of Fluid Flow)
Potential Discovery or Invention
It is known that water drips from a faucet have chaotic rhythms. Here is a fascinating phenomenon in which a finger approaching the nozzle of a faucet causes the dihydrogen monoxide (H2O)'s laminar flow to show a standing wave pattern, then to cause a permanent transformation of a steady laminar flow into a dripping flow. It can be considered as fluidic hysteresis.
