Emerson Electric website's Sensi Thermostat Support webpage says the following.

What is geofencing, and how does it work with Sensi thermostats?
Geofencing is a way to automatically control your Sensi thermostat based on your location. When you travel 3 miles away from your home the Sensi app will signal for your thermostat to change set points and save energy. Your thermostat will lower the temperature 3 degrees when you are in heat mode or raise 3 degrees in cool mode. When you travel back to within 3 miles from your home, your thermostat will be set back to the temperature you had selected before you left.

What if I turn on geofencing while my thermostat is in Auto Mode?
If you turn on geofencing while in auto mode and leave your 3-mile home boundary, your heating set point will lower three degrees and your cooling set point will raise 3 degrees. Stated another way, your comfort range will grow by 6 degrees - 3 degrees on each side. When you cross back into your 3-mile home boundary, your heating and cooling set points will go back to where you had them originally.

After 32 years of service, I had my Coleman THE central heat pump system replaced by a Daikin unit which came with an Emerson Sensi Thermostat.

I run the Sensi app on my iPhone 6s Plus (iOS 13.3). Following the instructions, I did the following.
- Settings app: Sensi > Location: Always
- Sensi app: System Mode > Auto: On
- Sensi app: Scheduling > Geofencing (beta): On
I am the only occupant of the house, so I am not sharing the registered Sensi account with anybody else, and nobody overrides the geofencing feature at home. I checked the following as instructed.
- Keep mobile device Wi-Fi ON: Yes!
- Keep mobile device Airplane Mode OFF: Yes!
- Keep mobile device general Location Services ON: Yes!
- Keep background app refresh on (iOS users): Yes!
Today, I travelled to a location which is 12 km (7.46 miles) away from home for about 5 hours. I was expecting that the initial temperature of 18 C would drop to 16 or 15 C while I was away, but there was no change at all. Is it possible that setting the temperature in ISO metric unit (Celsius) messes up the Geofencing feature? Or the temperature setting of 18 C (64.4 F) is too low for Geofencing? Or my Canadian location (postal code) is not properly recognised? I certainly hope that "beta" does not mean "non-functional".

The Sensi's Geofencing feature suddenly started working, decreasing the temperature by 3 C when I was away from home.
- Geofencing: Home (18 C)
- Geofencing: Away (15 C)
When I came back home, however, the temperature stayed at 15 C for many hours until I manually increased it.

I used to be able to check Sensi data from Apple's Home app. Now, I get the following error message when I switch between the Sensi app and the Home app. Please fix it up.

Although many of Sensi's variables are available for Apple's Shortcuts app (iOS), "Relative Humidity" and "Dew Point" is missing. Since the humidity data is observable (R/O) on the Sensi app, please make it available for Apple's Home Kit.

HELP: Sensi stopped working in Home app
Everything was fine until a few days ago. All of a sudden, Home app could no longer connect to Sensi app, as shown in the screenshot. I relaunched these apps as well as restarted the iPhone 6s Plus (iOS 13.6) only to find that nothing worked. It seems that Sensi app was recently updated. PLEASE HELP BECAUSE IT IS A VERY SERIOUS WORK-STOPPAGE ISSUE!
