I had my 32-year old Coleman heat pump replaced by a brand-new Daikin heat pump with the Sensi app to control temperature settings. The heat pump was functioning very well for about a month until one day when I noticed that the fan of the outside unit was not moving at all. The Sensi app was often showing "Supplementing with AUX" (RED) even though the outside temperature was 0 C.
The Sensi app's Usage record suggests that the motor of the outside unit failed on "THU 20". Nevertheless, it is remarkable that the heat pump (ORANGE) functions at all without a functional fan.
