A Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) and a Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) were placed in a microwave oven which emits electromagnetic wave at the frequency of 2.45 GHz (wavelength of 122 mm). When microwave oven was turned on, the CFL lit up wirelessly without being connected to the powerline, while the DVD started smoking with noxious smell.
