2 days later, 2 of the SMOKE ALARMs plus a different model (SMOKE & CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM) were delivered. My house is 100 % electric (heat pump, microwave oven, stove, etc.) without natural gas, and no smokers are living here. So, there is no source of CO anywhere. Although the SMOKE & CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM is more expensive than the SMOKE ALARM, I wanted to have it replaced with the original model because the lifetime of the SMOKE & CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM model is shorter (7 years instead of 10 years).
The next day, I was able to return the SMOKE & CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM to the Rona store for full refund.
