iPhone-Enhanced Holiday Decoration by Laser Light Figure with a Vibrator
First of all, a RED laser diode was purchased.
Also used are a DC power supply, a vibrator and an ironing board.
Here is the result.
A Focusable 200-250mW 650nm Laser Module Red Dot Laser Generator Diode is attached to a vibrator, and the assembly is mounted on the iron cord holder of an ironing board. Vibration from the vibrator causes movement of the high-power laser dot, resulting in a closed figure which is ideal for illuminating an exterior wall, snow on the driveway, etc. as holiday decoration.
The heavier the top portion of the iron cord holder is, the greater the amplitude of the vibration becomes. So, a battery holder is adhesively attached to the top portion of the iron cord holder to make chaotic contacts with the laser portion. Furthermore, a heavy iPhone Plus is magnetically attached to the iron cord holder, and a Shortcut is programmed in order to provide stochastic vibration for the laser light show.
N.B. Some manual vibration was added while shooting the movies. It is envisioned that the laser diode be controlled by connecting to a motion detector and image sensor with image recognition algorithm. The laser figure could be changed according to the level of friendship. The laser intensity would increase to zap a passer-by in case he/she is your enemy, etc.
