To whom it may concern
Rhetorical question
There are clear standards for alkaline batteries, i.e., D, C, AA, AAA, 9-V. However, button battery situation is utter chaos. Local hardware stores have a thick book with small fonts to cross-reference a myriad of button battery sizes. As a result, few people bother to change batteries for small devices, leading to throwing away the devices themselves into trash.
Do you think that electrical and electronics engineering profession failed to standardize button battery sizes for simplicity?
