As shown in the sequence, I cannot link my PayPal account to a Scotia U.S. Dollar Daily Interest Account. HELP!!!
First, I tap "Banks and Cards" to add a bank to link.
Then, I select a bank and enter account information.
Here are fatal error messages.

After many attempts, it turned out that the USD account does not meet PayPal's requirement: "The bank account you link must use only Canadian dollars." Please explain why a legitimate USD account at a Canadian bank (Scotiabank), according to PayPal itself, is not acceptable for linking with PayPal. Most importantly, please have PayPal's development team take a corrective action ASAP!!!

Following the advice from PayPal's Office of Executive Escalations, I entered American Bankers Association (ABA)'s 9-digit Routing Number for Scotiabank (026002532/026009593) together with my Scotia USD Savings account in the appropriate fields in PayPal.
Yet, I received 2 e-mail messages informing me that the microdeposits that PayPal sent to my bank account as part of the bank confirmation process were returned to PayPal. There is no reason after "for the following reason:"

I am trying to link my PayPal account (Accounts@HyperInfo.CA) to Scotia USD Savings account (70136-002-0411485). PayPal requires the Routing Number (9 digits) and the Account Number for ACH from the U.S.A. which is different from Canada's (5 digits). Please advise the correct combination.

I had a PayPal agent enter this very combination on 2021-08-04. On 2021-08-05, I received 2 e-mail messages informing me that the microdeposits that PayPal sent to my bank account as part of the bank confirmation process were returned to PayPal. BTW, even though the Routing Number (026009593) belongs to BANK OF AMERICA N.A., THE BANK OF NOVA SCOTIA uses it for USD, as explained in this document.
