The first moving sidewalk debuted at the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893, in Chicago, IL, U.S.A. The Pedestrian Tunnel from the mainland to the Toronto City Airport is 260 m long, and features 4 moving walkways.
Such a moving walkway could be installed on the Chief William Commanda Bridge (formerly the Prince of Wales Bridge) to link between the LRT station (Bayview) in Ottawa, ON, Canada, and the Rapibus (Tramway in future) station (Taché-UQO) in Gatineau, QC, Canada.
