Stainless steel wire was neatly wound when bought, but the winding has loosened up to look like twisted plasma in a tokamak nuclear fusion reactor.
It has come to my attention that such a contraption is marketed as "toroflux® - interactive kinetic spring toy" and "GeoFlux® - Amazing Mesmerizing Interactive Spring Toy".
