Here is STO's variable message display at a bus stop in Gatineau, QC, Canada.
The display scans the message pixel line-by-line in pulses, so legible message cannot be captured as still-image PHOTO or VIDEO on the iPhone (iOS)'s Camera app. Sign's pixels should show up in entirely for each message when the video is played at high speed (~8x).
When ambient is dark, legible message can be captured as still-image PHOTO or VIDEO on the iPhone (iOS)'s Camera app because the shutter speed is low.
