2022-09-17|Sunatori's 3-D Printed Commemorative Plaque in Polymer Plastic
Potential Discovery or Invention
Here is a crime scene where an outdoor commemorative plaque mounted on a rock was stolen. The plate was made of copper (Cu) or bronze (Cu + Sn) or brass (Cu + Zn). The metals most commonly stolen are non-ferrous metals such as copper, bronze, brass and aluminium due to increased scrap metal prices.
Instead of replacing it with another metallic plaque, the replacement can be 3-D printed with UV-resistant full-colour polymer plastic, then fixed to the rock with outdoor adhesive such as construction epoxy.
If NCC/CCN is interested in this novel approach, then I am willing to conduct a preliminary feasibility study, pro bono!
