Here is comparison of automatic scrolling between non-smooth reading by TextEdit.app (macOS) and smooth reading by Read&Speak.livecode which I coded in LiveCode.app (macOS). The feature request was submitted to Apple via Bug Reporter (Feedback Assistant).
