2022-10-08|Decathlon's Home delivery

My engineer/mathematician/computer scientist son François ordered a crash pad at Decathlon 2022-10-03, and specified the item to be Home delivered. Although Decathlon's "Track Order Status" says "Expected to arrive on Tue, Oct 4", it never arrived on that day or the following 3 days. In fact, I am still waiting for the item.
So, I noted "Rivo 31010034355", and entered the tracking number into Rivo's "Track your package". Rivo replied the following.

Oops! It looks like you entered a tracking number that isn't ours. Check your Rivo confirmation e-mail again.
Please let me know what is going on, and when the item is arriving.

One possibility is that an overzealous developer may have added a checking routine algorithm:
- If (Billing address <> Delivery address) AND (Phone number_Billing address = Phone number_Delivery address), then Flag as Error!
Another possibility is that this creates a win-win situation for Decathlon to cover their asses.
- If the package is eventually delivered by Rivo, then the customer is happy despite the delay.
- If the package is truly lost by Rivo, then the customer is happy to get a refund.
The true loser is a person who waits for the package off-site.

Despite such scary warning and the experience which was not quite up to Rivo's mission statement, the package finally arrived on 2022-10-12, taking 9 days from Montréal, QC, Canada, to Gatineau, QC, Canada. Bravo et merci!!!
