In 2022, prominent Canadian artist Véronique Sunatori, MFA, BFA experienced dilated pupil on her LEFT eye. In 2026, she experienced dilated pupil on her RIGHT eye. Her unequal pupil sizes were back to normal after a couple of weeks. The condition Physiologic Anisocoria and Holmes-Adie Syndrome are 2 distinct causes of unequal pupil sizes (anisocoria).
1. Physiologic Anisocoria
  - Physiologic anisocoria is a completely normal, benign variation in pupil size that affects up to 20% of the population.
2. Holmes-Adie Syndrome (Adie's Tonic Pupil)
  - Holmes-Adie Syndrome is a rare, benign neurological condition that affects the autonomic nervous system controlling the eye and deep tendon reflexes.
The pupil of the eye is a portal which admits and regulates the flow of light to the retina. People with physiological anisocoria do not usually need treatment, as it is typically harmless. Therefore, her worst-case scenario would be to wear a pair of fashionable glasses with different shades in order to accentuate asymmetry.
