2023-05-14|BELL's Non-Sealing SELF SEALING TUBE

To whom it may concern

• My Quetzal Bike suffered a puncture at Huron Lookout on Champlain Parkway in Gatineau Park. There was no sign of mis-installation or a sharp object like a nail.

  

• The tire of my Quetzal Bike was equipped with Bell Sports's SELF SEALING TUBE that claims to STOPS FLATS WHILE YOU RIDE.

  

• The tire wall had become thin, so that is most probably the cause of the puncture. Please add TIRE WALL in the warning section on the package.

  WARNING:
  ALL INFLATABLE TUBES SUBJECT TO DEFLATION FROM MIS-INSTALLATION, THIN TIRE WALL, AND CERTAIN HAZARDS. DEFLATION CAN LEAD TO LOSS OF CONTROL OF BIKE AND INJURY OR DEATH. READ IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING ANY SEALANT TUBE.

To whom it may concern

• I replaced the worn-out tire by Bell Sports's Mountain Bike Tire. Let's see how the combination of FLAT DEFENSE tire and STOPS FLATS WHILE YOU RIDE inner tube will perform.
