McMaster University's Wilson College of Leadership and Civic Engagement is supposed to provide comprehensive liberal arts education.
Just as STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education is broadening the scope to include "arts" to become STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), "Liberal Arts" should broaden the scope to include sciences to become "Liberal Arts & Sciences" so that future leaders would be somewhat literate in science and technology.
"Liberal Arts & Sciences" would focus on basic qualitative sense, i.e., with few equations, if any. Even if there is only 1 mandatory course in 4 years, "Liberal Arts & Sciences" would be Wilson College of Leadership and Civic Engagement's distinguishing feature.
