I watched your thought-provoking presentation "Canadian Journey on Nuclear Energy from CANDU to Small Modular Reactors" (2025-04-23). Among the various Micro-Modular Reactors (MMR), none of them seems to be using Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) for electric-power generation.

Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Coupling: "High-temperature liquid-metal heat pipes can feed thermal energy into a liquid metal loop that flows through a strong magnetic field to produce direct-current electricity via Faraday's Law without moving mechanical parts."

Are there any technical/engineering challenges/obstacles in using heat pipe with MHD for electric-power generation by liquid-metal cooled nuclear reactors?
Here are the primary ways heat pipes are used to generate power:
1. Thermoelectric Generators (TEGs / Seebeck Effect)
2. Turbine / Expansion Power Cycles (Organic Rankine Cycle)
3. Thermionic and Liquid-Metal MHD Systems (Advanced Concepts)
