Face ID on my iPhone 12 stopped working. I panicked and searched for solution. After thorough checking, the last hope was to do iPhone's Settings app (iOS) > Face ID & Passcode > Set Up an Alternate Appearance.
However, the error message suggests that there is hardware problem with TrueDepth Camera, considering that the iPhone was dropped a few days prior to noticing the loss of Face ID.
