Capital Pathway

The Capital Pathway is one of the most extensive pathway networks in North America. It includes over 200 kilometres of off-road, multi-use pathways, extending from Gatineau Park, through Ottawa-Gatineau and into the Greenbelt. It connects the Capital's parks, gardens, museums and attractions.
The Capital Pathway is for everyone: pedestrians, joggers, cyclists, in-line skaters, people with a mobility impairment, skiers, snowshoers and snow bikers.

However, one of the bridges in Gatineau, QC, Canada, displays no-bicycle sign.
That is because wooden deck of the bridge has naturally deteriorated after less than 10 years.
Instead of wood, recycled plastic should be used for bridge's deck. Composite decking boards (plastic lumber) are low-maintenance, available in a variety of colours and styles, and are appropriate for any environment, including typically-corrosive salty, ocean side facilities. They should last a very long time.
