2025-12-17|The Criterion Channel: "Renew your subscription"
To whom it may concern
My professional artist daughter Véronique's subscription to streaming service "The Criterion Channel" had expired, so she tapped "Renew your subscription" on Criterion app (iOS). However, she encountered error message "Your payment method was declined."
Following Apple's instructions in "If you want to cancel a subscription
from Apple", she was finally able to cancel her subscription to "The Criterion Channel".
Instead of tapping button "Renew: $134.99/year", she visited website "The Criterion Channel" on Safari.app (macOS). Although Settings > Billing & subscription still said "You are subscribed with iTunes", finally "Annual subscription - $99.99 / year" was achieved.
