Dr. John P. Verboncoeur
In presentation "Plasmas for Sustainability", section "Use Case: Hydrogen Ecosystem" lists "ammonia cracking at use point for H fuel cells or H combustion". Is it feasible to use ultraviolet (UV) light for Electromagnetic Hydrogen Generation by Ammonia Photodissociation? UV LED with high quantum efficiency may become available.
Ammonia (NH3) dissociation efficiency
High-temperature cracking (around 950 C) can achieve high conversion rates, while microwave plasma can achieve full dissociation at a higher energy cost.
